Hello and thank you for taking the time to explore the site.

My name is Matt Harrison, and I am the owner of Harrison Technology Consulting (HarrisonTC). Born and raised in Michigan, I started my career in Information Technology in 1997 after discovering my interest, technical aptitude and enthusiasm for computers and technology.

I began my career as a Technical Support Specialist for a motion control distributor in metro Detroit. I soon realized I wanted to gain experience supporting and learning a variety of systems and business processes. I joined a technology consulting firm that specialized in supporting the needs of education and government markets. One of my clients, a school district in southeastern Michigan asked me to become their Technology Coordinator after consulting for them. It was there that I learned the basis for my business philosophy. In order to create a better environment for the children, it was necessary to be able to build successful working relationships with the many groups and management styles that made up the school district. I believe this philosophy applies to any business process and life in general !

My wife and I moved our family to Hilton Head Island in July of 2006 to fulfill our dream of raising a family on this wonderful island paradise! I then set out to fulfill another goal. I wanted to build a business based on my belief system. I truly believe the relationships you forge and the time that you give of yourself to others are the most important legacies you can leave.

After many years in the Tech industry, I have formed a trusted and skilled team of consultants with a variety of foundations and skill sets. The two things that have always enthused me about Tech are; the ability to simplify a process through the use of Tech and; the enjoyment I receive from teaching others the use of Technology. Most clients I meet have a natural fear of technology and I enjoy de-mystifying the processes and creating a comfortable foundation for them to work from!
